£1.25 Billion Government Support Package Put in Place for UK Businesses

Yesterday the Chancellor has announced that over a billion pounds have been put aside to help UK Corporations and business owners, reports. The funding has been put in place as an additional boost in support for those being affected by COVID-19.

Support packages include a £500M investment for high-growth companies impacted by the crisis, which is being referred to as a "Future Fund" to invest in getting our businesses through to the other side. Despite eyebrows raising with regards to more money continuously appearing in the pot, it has been reported that the support packages made up of funding from government and the private sector.

As well as continuous funding being pushed into Research & Development Tax Credits just as before, there have also been additional £750M in Grants and Loans set aside for SMEs looking to expand on innovation.

The funding has been swiftly put together, with hopes to protect businesses across a dynamic range of industries, such as life sciences. To ensure plain sailing into the other side of this crisis. The government is still set on protecting the UK economy - Saving jobs as well as lives.

With investments and cash support flowing into every sector, Brits and our business owners should be able to rest easy with the knowledge that despite hard times, we are still able to grow as a nation in the years to come.
